Your medical plan through Priority Health does not meet the requirements to be considered qualified health coverage, as it relates to Michigan No-Fault Auto Legislation.

Dear AHC Hospitality Associate:

This letter is intended to serve as confirmation that AHC Hospitality’s medical coverage through Priority Health excludes the first $250,000 of medical expenses due to a motor vehicle accident. Should you be enrolled in AHC Hospitality’s medical coverage, it is very important you purchase personal injury protection on your auto insurance to ensure you have coverage for the first $250,000 in expenses for any injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Keep in mind that Michigan No-Fault Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage pays for more than medical expenses – including things like attendant care, housing modifications, lost wages, etc. You should discuss PIP coverage and other auto coverage with your auto carrier or agent.
